The Crash Tackle team is considering the reduction of the current Passing distance from 5 Spaces to 4 Spaces.

It is hoped that this reduction will increase the number of Passes during a game and thereby increase the number turn-overs and Knock-on's.

Initial testing seems to create more passes. Teams trying to reduce the passes by running laterally find it harder to get over the advantage line. Teams making more passes and in turn running straight make better ground but risk the failed passes. Seems to work well so far.
